Rachel_SantosRachel Santos has been dancing since age 5 and has been performing in musical theatre since age 13. She has studied jazz, ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop, and folk dances. In addition to choreographing for the dance stage, Rachel has also choreographed for competitive roller and ice skaters and for the musical theatre stage. In 2003, she graduated from San José State University in California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with a minor in Musical Theatre. There she earned the Haws Award for Excellence in Performance.
In 2004, she moved from her native California to Montreal. Shortly after, she began dancing with the tap troupe Klaxson and then created her very own platform to teach and choreograph with Cadance Jazz. Along the way she has also become a fully certified STOTT PILATES® instructor and GROOVEmethod™ facilitator. Her Montreal teaching and choreography credits include Powell School of Dance, Broadway Academy Westmount, La Vie en Mouvement (ensemble La Fantaisie), and Ballet Allegro International. Klaxson and Cadance are currently preparing for their Beatles & Rolling Stones dance production in May 2014.
